How much heaven is in your heart?

When you view the world

How much heaven is in your heart?

The extent to which you and I

Have an "and ever" after forever

"Forever and ever"

That is the amount

That is the extent

Of our joy now

Immediacy

Is quite different

Our unwillingness to lift eyes to see

Is what makes pain sting

And hate breed

And sadness steep

When this world we keep

Simply put

Put heaven's target

On your radar

Let questions linger

Stop to stare

Let mystery sit there

For that is where

Joy steps on doubt

And though we can't figure it out

Holy Spirit shouts it out inside

The continuum of eternity

Stretch there, you will see

Connected and Useful
