The cowardice of fear
The cowardice of fear
By Joel Howard
The cowardice of fear
When you are here
The stink of muttering
When you we are forgetting
The pulse of anxiety
Prayerless impiety
The joke of a lifetime
Hearts cold towards your mind
When evil stings
And sons shy back
When men have needs
Orphans have lack
For men to say
There’s no other way
And quiet, they
Shrink back in shame
And there defame
God’s holy name
The shake and fear
Of cowardice
When arms go limp
And flame grows dim
