The news hits all over

At warp speed

“Did you hear!?”

It’s inability..

Inability to keep up

Inability to maintain love

Inability to re-create

Peace

And now we’re left with hate..

Hate for the discomfort now

Hate towards sorrow

Hate for how

How we misinterpret God

Hate for strife

Hate for how

How we’re empty

O so empty

This somehow comes as

News to you and me..

We didn’t know how lost we were

Our humanity sounds bleak

And absurd

How could life bring so much harm?

We’re biting nails now in alarm

Each man for himself!

We draw the line..

God, come help us

Just this time!
