Let it die
Let it die
by Joel Howard
"So when Joseph came to his brothers, they stripped him of his robe, the robe of many colors that he wore. And they took him and threw him into a pit." Genesis 37:23-24, ESV
Joseph in the well, let it die, let it die;
Left for dead then sold by your brothers, by your kin
Sold into a world far away, far away;
Gone are distant memories of how things had been!
O dreamer, stay right where you lay
Your day will come but today is not that day
Faithfully walk through the fire you're in
And in time, and by God's help, you will win!
Let it die - Your ambition to arrive right now
Let it fall - discontentment over it all
Let it burn - into something that God can mold
He does all things well in His time, I'm told
Don't be afraid to sigh - but, Joseph, let it die
