When my Father says no

When my Father says no 

He wants what is best for me 

But He knows a yes will kill life in me 

When my Father says no 

He rejoices in crushing me 

For the joy of the life that will come to me

And flow through me 

When my Father says no 

It is because of what that no will do to me 

That through it He is faithfully pruning me 

To be better than I imagined I could be 

That's what a no can do for me
