It's okay to be uncomfortable

I was sitting by myself yesterday

And something inside seemed to say,

"God! I'm uncomfortable!"

And that feeling didn't go away

Next thing I knew, the Spirit, like a friend

Comforted my heart again

As He has so many times before:

"What are you trying to defend?

Am I allowed to make you uncomfortable?" 

It was comfort, I swear

For His voice, though cutting, 

Was oh so comforting

As if to say, "Child, can you stay? 

In the discomfort? In the hurting?" 

And all I had to do was say, "yes"

"Abba, yes." This I confess
