O God, who commands the morning
Who tells the dark when to stop
Who places boundaries on confusion
Who teaches donkeys to talk
O God who chats with stars
And calls them all by name
Make the Son to rise
On this generation again!
O Lord, who makes evil tremble
Who speaks into nothingness and causes something
O Jesus, who rose again
Win now the war against our raging sin
Revive a generation
Command the morning again!
