A banner: "mine"

People here and there 

And as I stare

I see beauty not mine 

Men, women and children

Each one different 

Yours, God, not mine 

Today I see You hovering 

Over them to say,

"This one's mine, and this one's mine" 

Your smile over each the same

A banner, God

Creator God, is written on each one 

Your signature, Your blood You poured 

Equally over each one 

As if to say in all unique ways,

"Look there's another one! 

The child I've made in my own way 

bought, paid for, and won

My lover, daughter, son forever

Each one called my own" 

A banner, "mine", from before time

Over every one
