I cannot move these mountains alone 

Nor can I struggle to win by myself 

I cannot earn the love You bestow 

But, Lord, I can stand still

I can't manipulate life to suit myself 

Nor can I maintain a strong following 

I can't avoid storms or struggles or ills 

But, Lord, I can stand still

Praying, I can in all things overcome 

Waiting, I can have joy 

In trials and death, I still can rejoice

And in all I can stand still 

You are with me, so I can stand still
