Rejection: our greatest fear
Rejection: our greatest fear
by Joel Howard
I told a friend recently that all I have ever wanted was to fit in - to belong - to have a home - a safe place; Now that I have it in Jesus, it is clear to me that my greatest fear has been rejection, my greatest longing to hear that I am not left out; People kill to get here and kill if left out; Our greatest fear is drought - we pay any amount to be found - accumulate wealth to never be let down - savor sins to feel heaven-bound and fear all the more when the walls crumble around; Rejection and isolation eat at us alive, tear up our insides; We were made for Christ who is our life, when in Him we reside we will never, ever die!
