In a conversation and instead of making fixes

Sitting for the weekend and instead of quick switches

Instead of claiming failure before we reach the end

Giving time, I'm giving time

When doubts and condemnation come and life is shaky

When no one's here to check decisions I am making

When I am still busy gathering information

Giving time, I'm giving time

Can I breathe before making certain choices?

Can I speak to my Father before moving?

Does this sound like who God has always told me that I am?

Giving time, I'm giving time

Can I be before setting off to greater doing?

Gratitude my prelude to the works that lie ahead

Jesus, teach us to count the cost before starting
