It is written
It is written
a thought by Joel Howard
Jesus said, "it is written" (its been processed, written down, thought of before). He referred to what has been written before, not the logic of the moment. How much of what we do is a reaction to temptation and not settled in the written word of God? We rush to control, we give in before praying. What is the solution? To slow down when tempted. To relax when taunted. To seek God when pressured. To look up when confronted. Satan's temptations and offers made sense to the world. But Jesus said, "it is written". He went with experience, not feeling. He chose what's best not what's good. Keep me safe in your word, God. Rested in your promises.
