A broken, not a proud spirituality
A broken, not a proud spirituality
by Joel Howard
For many, spirituality is a currency. It is a strategy, determining for them how much they are worth. It is for them, a reason to judge, a means for gain. As for us, our spirituality is merely our expression of surrender, song of brokenness, declaration of dependence. Our entry point into Christ's kingdom is not a bag of money, a sign of wealth, or a list of accomplishments. Instead, our spirituality is a continual white flag, an expression of our need, and of our love for our Savior. Not what we have, but all that we don't have and He provides. That is what makes us Christians.
