What motivates our days?

Appeals to our
performance, 
God's grace and
mercy appeal to 
our poverty and 
brokenness

Control and 
manipulation
rush us on
to do and try
harder and more
God's being 
slow to anger
allows us to 
bring our lowliness
just as we are
to truly be changed

Which is a better
motivator to obey? 
Which brings about
more fruit? 
Pushing or stopping? 
A shout of fury 
Or a loving whisper? 
Slavery or sonship?
